I've been eagerly anticipating the opening of this new Food Truck, it's about a block away from my house in the Wilson's parking lot. Called "Bogan's Bites and Beats," it's supposed to be Aussie themed, but I don't know how many folks here would appreciate Vegemite, I don't particularly care for it myself.
Tonight, I was thrilled to see it's finally open! They were out of rice, otherwise I would have gotten the Butter Chicken. I could see an Instant Pot on their counter, "Hmm, I bet that's how they're cooking rice."
So I got a double smashburger with fries and a can of sprite (which I didn't really want, but it was included with the combo) for $9.50. I handed him a $10 and told him to keep the change.
This is a massive burger. I ate a 1/4 of it and some fries when I got home, so plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. I don't know if it's all that delicious or if it's just that I haven't had a cheeseburger and deep fried french fries in years. But it was so yummy! And I didn't have to make it myself or go all the way over to Five Points.
Here are some pictures.

My burger. I like the classy cardboard box instead of a styrofoam container.

Got a single patty smashburger and instead of fries for the included side, got a chicken samosa. Total was only $7.50 and with 20% tip was $8.40. This is so nice to tote home warm food that someone else made for me.

Large Nashville Hot Chicken box with tomatoes, onions, mac & cheese, and fries on the bottom
$13.95 menu price and $16.80 after 20% tip
While I was waiting for my food, this white dude walked up and said he had a hard day today, what desserts you got? He bought an emotional support chocolate cake.
I saw him hand breading the fried chicken himself in the food truck. It's not all that spicy at first, just some good gentle heat that gets warmer after a few mins.
This is a lot of food, enough for a couple days for me. I have something easy to heat up while I'm working tomorrow! Should work well on the cast iron.
